Abstract
In the paper, a graph-theoretic approach for transformation from conceptual design to embodiment design is developed. An adjacency matrix corresponding to a digraph representing the flow of energy in the designed object provides an input to the algorithm. The algorithm generates clusters that are useful in design of a physical layout of the designed object. The concepts introduced in the paper are illustrated with examples. Keywords
