Abstract
Through the use of smear technics upon asci, the chromosome nos. of the fusion nuclei in Gibberella roseum (homothallic), G. lateritium (heterothallic?), Calonectria rigidiuscula (homothallic), and Nectria episphaeria f. coccophila (heterothallic?) were found to be, respectively, 6, 6, 7, and 7, pairs. No taxonomic significance is attached to these numbers since in the species Hypomyces solani (heterothallic) the chromosome numbers may be 4, 3, or 2.This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
