Electronic-Recombination Coefficient ofHe2+3Compared toHe2+4

Abstract

The electronic-recombination coefficient of ${}_{}{}^3{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}_2^{}{}_{}{}^{+}$ is shown to be ($1.23\times {10}^{-8\mathrm{}}+5.04\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-10\mathrm{}}p$) ${\mathrm{cm}}^3$ ${\sec }^{-1\mathrm{}}$, compared to that of ${}_{}{}^4{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}_2^{}{}_{}{}^{+}$, which is ($1.15\times {10}^{-8\mathrm{}}+3.86\mathrm{}\times {10}^{-10\mathrm{}}p$) ${\mathrm{cm}}^3$ ${\sec }^{-1\mathrm{}}$, where $p$ is the gas pressure in Torr.
