Health Care Problems of the Elderly of San Francisco's Chinatown

Abstract
Among the elderly residents of San Francisco's Chinatown, serious health problems are prevalent. Personal resources for obtaining needed medical services are poor. While the informal network of family and friends is important, its resources are similarly limited. Health-care needs can be met only by the broader society. The elderly Chinese-Americans with gravest need for medical services tend also to be multiply deprived with regard to resources to obtain them.
