Abstract
Flower initiation was observed in plants of Irish Cobbler potatoes, Alaska peas, and Red Kidney beans grown in total darkness. It is suggested that in some etiolated plants the hypothetical flowering hormone may be formed in darkness, whereas in green plants continuous darkness will not permit flower initiation.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
