Abstract
Three extracellular cellulases were purified from cultures of Cellulomonas. One was found in solution in the cell-free supernatant and 2 others were bound to the cellulose added as a C source. The free enzyme and 1 of the cellulose-bound enzymes bind to Sephadex. The 2 cellulose-bound enzymes are glycosylated. The 3 enzymes behave as endocellulases towards soluble carboxymethyl-cellulose and have little activity on cellulose powder.This publication has 22 references indexed in Scilit:
