RETROAURICULAR-TEMPORAL FLAP

Abstract
Deformity of the nose and its adjacent area has commanded deserved attention for many years. The often told art of nose-making, developed in India before the time of Christ, has formed the foundation from which to evolve a variety of flaps and techniques through the ages. A newer method, however, does not necessarily mean an improvement in repairing such a deformity. Rather, it gives the surgeon a procedure to add to his armamentarium and allows him to choose the most appropriate method for a given deformity; herein lies progress in plastic surgery. This paper presents a new pedicle flap technique suitable for reconstruction of the nose and the adjacent area of the face.
