Abstract
A combined dissection and chemical procedure is described which allows a rapid determination of total muscle mass, marrow weight, etc. The mean weights of 15 different tissues, 4 constituents of supportive tissue, 8 fractions of the muscle mass, and the gastrointestinal contents are presented for the normal 338 g male white rat along with estimates of variability. Keywords
