Abstract
Conducting polymer gels have been prepared with poly(3-alkylthiophene)s of alkyl chain length n shorter than 12. Drastic volume change of the polymer gel was observed upon changing the concentration of ethanol in chloroform and also upon changing the temperature. The absorption spectrum also changed drastically in association with the volume change. These conducting polymer gels can also be doped. Keywords
