Abstract
A group of 39 patients in which 1 quadrant of teeth had been treated 6 times during a 2-yr. period with a 0.1 % NaF soln. were re-examined 3 yrs. after the cessation of such treatments. The treated quadrants still showed approx. 36% less new decay than the untreated quadrants. During the period of suspended treatment, the occurrence of new decay was approx. 30% less in the quadrants which had been treated 3 yrs. previously. Keywords
