Abstract
In the present work, results obtained recently using electron-microscopical, histo-chemical and micro-mechanical techniques are briefly discussed. It is concluded that, in the future, increasing consideration must be paid to the part played by the non-nervous components of this receptor in its functional activity. Keywords
