Abstract
Conclusions Cryohemorrhoidectomy is a practical, painless operation that can be done as an outpatient procedure for both external and internal hemorrhoids. The cosmetic results—as well as relief of symptoms—are equal or superior to those of surgical excision. The patients are grateful for the absence of postoperative discomfort and being able to carry on their occupations and activities. Long-term assessment of the method is essential before it finds its place in modern surgery. Keywords
