Abstract
Behaviorally de-termined thresholds of squirrel, rhesus, and cynamolgus monkeys are reported. Three different testing procedures were utilized for measuring the threshold avoidance conditioning in a double-grill cage, and bar-pressing procedures with either reward or avoidance reinforcements. There was good agreement among the audiograms obtained for various species despite the different conditioning procedures used. The audio-grams are similar to those for man, except that, at 16,000 cps, the thresholds of the monkeys are considerably lower. Keywords
