Abstract
The Hall effect has been measured as a function of temperature, between 400°K and 800°K, in single crystals of barium oxide using an ac system. Conduction was predominantly -type. The value of was about 3 /volt sec between 600°K and 700°K and varied only slightly with temperature over the entire range studied. is thought to lie between 3 and 9 /volt sec. There was some evidence that conduction was intrinsic at the higher temperatures in the samples studied.
