A Note From the Editor

Abstract
Certain modifications in editorial policy and philosophy have resulted in change in the format of theArchives of Neurology. A significant addition is the newly designatedSECTION ON CHILD NEUROLOGY. This section has been created in response to the expanding number of child neurologists and recognizes the productivity and advances of this subspecialty. The frequency and size of the section will depend on the availability of accepted manuscripts. The traditionalORIGINAL CONTRIBUTIONSmay include single case reports that are of especial and timely interest, with concise, insightful reviews and useful bibliographies. Material more limited in scope and at the same time trenchant and on the point, whether case reports, laboratory observations, or clinical comments, will be published in a newly consolidated section to be calledBRIEF COMMUNICATIONS AND CLINICAL NOTES. Communications related to problems of the practitioner may appear here as well as inLETTERS TO THE EDITOR.
