Determination of the Relative Electron Density at the Be Nucleus in Different Chemical Combinations, Measured as Changes in the Electron-Capture Half-Life ofBe7

Abstract
Differences in the decay constant of Be7 in various states of chemical combination were measured using the differential-ionization-chamber technique. The results are: {λ(BeO)λ(BeF2)amorph=(1.130±0.058)×103λ(Be),}{λ(BeO)λ(Be4O(CH3COO)6)=(0.724±0.057)×103λ(Be),}{λ(BeO)λ(BeBr2)=(1.472±0.063)×103λ(Be),}{λ(Be4O(CH3COO)6)λ(BeF2)amorph=(1.852±0.082)×103λ(Be),}{λ(BeO)λ(Be(C5H5)2)=(0.795±0.074)×103λ(Be),}{λ(BeO)λ(Be2+(OH2)4)=(0.374±0.077)×103λ(Be),}{λ(Be(C5H5)2λ(Be2+(OH2)4)=(1.169±0.106)×103λ(Be).} The decay constant of
