Abstract
A case of creeping eruption was presented. The patient developed asthma 1 week after onset of the skin lesions. Examination of sputum revealed the presence of filariform hookworm larvae, which were thought to be those of Ancylostoma braziliense, the common causative agent of creeping eruption. The finding of larvae of A. braziliense in the sputum for a period of 24 days indicates that they are not always confined to the skin. The patient did not develop intestinal hookworm infection. In order to follow the disease process, and with the patient''s approval, no attempt was made to treat the lesions vigorously.
