Cytological and Taxonomic Studies in the Genus Brodiaea. II

Abstract
Further studies were made of material previously investigated and of some additional plants. The identity of the material studied as Triteleia hendersoni is doubtful. The existence of a variety of T. peduncularis based on pedicel length, flower color, chromosome number, and perhaps distribution is suggested. The chromosome count for an additional form of T. laxa is n=9, 2n=18. T. laxa is considered a species complex composed of forms with the somatic chromosome numbers of 18, 28, 30, 42, and 48. Further attempts to cross Dichelostemma volubilis and D. ida-maia failed. For Bloomeria crocea, a genus closely related to Brodiaea, n=9, 2n=18.
