Abstract
Vesical schistosomiasis was found in children of school age throughout all the District. Physopsis nasuta is the intermediate hosts for both Schistosoma bovis and S. haematobium; P. africana carries only S. bovis. Because of the difficulty of direct attack on the snail population, intensive treatment of affected natives with miracil (nilodin) seems to be the most promising method of control.
