Abstract
The radiological appearances of the main pancreatic duct in patients with carcinoma of the head of the pancreas is described. It is suggested that both a uniform dilatation of the duct system and a gap between the head of the dye and the duodenum may be taken as indicative of the presence of a carcinoma and hence allow an immediate distinction between this condition and chronic relapsing pancreatitis.
