Abstract
The author describes here a new numerical method for the solution of ill-posed problems. The method can be viewed as a generalization of the classical singular value decomposition (SVD). It not only gives generally more satisfactory results, but also allows one to incorporate in the solution desirable qualitative features. This gives the method a flexibility that few other regularization methods have. Keywords
