Abstract
We present a density-functional calculation of the prewetting line for a solid-fluid interface model that has been studied in the recent Monte Carlo simulation of the problem by Finn and Monson [Phys. Rev. A 39, 6402 (1989)]. We have good agreement for the surface critical point, but not for the wetting temperature, which in our calculation is at the triple-point temperature or below. Keywords
