Abstract

By blockage of the aC atom in a-benzolsulpho-methyl-amino-lauric acid the oxidation at the carboxyl group can be prevented and a new way of oxidation initiated. When this fatty acid was fed to dogs small amts. of a-benzolsulpho-methyl-amino-adipic acid were obtained from the urine. This is explained by the assumption that primary [omega]-oxidation and consecutive triple [beta]-oxidation occurred.
