Abstract

The degradation product of desoxycorticosterone is 7a-methyl-l-glycolyl-perhydroindanone-(5)-[[beta]-propionic acid-(4)]. The microbial degradation of desoxycorticosterone corresponds to that of pregesterone. Other corticosteroids may be decomposed in a similar manner.
