Abstract
A case of acquired arteriovenous fistula of the femoral vessels is described. The aortic valve became sclerotic. Thirty yrs. after the establishment of the fistula, both a sub-acute bacterial endocarditis of the aortic valve and a bacterial endarteritis of the fistula developed. The organism was Streptococcus viridans.Keywords
