Abstract
The paper addresses the design of long distance wireless mesh networks (LDWMNs) and deals with implementing and managing wireless links in the wireless mesh backbone. The paper first examines the features of LDWMNs and some issues they impose. Then, the paper describes a solution based on the use of full duplex wireless links and discusses the way these links are implemented and managed to overcome the previously identified problems. Keywords
