Abstract
With their low cost and high-speed data rate capabilities, IEEE 802.11-based wireless local area networks (WLANs) are growing exponentially. This paper discusses the interference impact from the co-channel interference on current 2.4 GHz WLAN application and addresses several RF design challenges for future 5 GHz frequency band operations. Coverage and migration issues from 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz are also included. Author(s) Ming-Ju Ho Wireless Commun. Networking Div., Atlanta, GA, USA Rawles, M.S. ; Vrijkorte, M. ; Fei, L.Keywords
