Abstract
An association between the ear lobe crease and coronary heart disease has been documented. A prospective study of 125 consecutive patients undergoing coronary arteriography was carried out to evaluate the ear lobe crease with the presence and extent of coronary artery disease. An ear lobe crease was observed in 65 patients, but this trait was not related to age, sex, smoking history, previous myocardial infarction, history of hypertension, family history of heart disease, body mass index or angiographically defined coronary artery disease. We conclude the ear lobe crease is not related to coronary heart disease. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
