Cultivation of Measles Virus in Stable Line of Human Amnion Cells

Abstract
Specific cytologic changes were induced in cultures of stable human amnion cells infected with measles virus. Necrosis was the prominent feature. Infectivity titers of 105 TCD50 per 0.1 ml were obtained. Infected fluids fixed complement through a dilution of 1:8. Primary isolations of measles virus from clinical materials were made in these cells.
