Über die Konfigurationsspezifität der Esterasen in verschiedenen Reinheitsgraden. XVII. Abhandlung über Pankreasenzyme.

Abstract
The specificity of esterases toward optical isomers present in esters of racemic acids was not due to accompanying substances since the process of purification did not permit asymmetric cleavage. liver esterase, pancreatic lipase, and gastric lipase of different species of animals showed asymmetric cleavage of esters of racemic acids, though the specificity was different with different animals and with different organs of the same animal.
