25 female patients with shoe dermatitis were studied. The most frequent cause of the sensitization appeared to be chromic salts, which are mainly used in the tanning process in Greece. Rubber sensitivity is the second cause of shoe dermatitis, tending to assume the first position because of the continuous increase in the use of rubber shoes in Greece.
