Dynamic spin behavior of superfluidHe3in the presence of textures

Abstract

Leggett's equations describing the dynamic spin behavior of superfluid ${}_{}{}^3{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}$ in the bulk are extended to situations involving inhomogeneous samples. The resulting formalism yields not only the resonant frequencies but the absorption weights as well. The case of ${}_{}{}^3{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{He}$-$A$ in a "slab" geometry is examined in some detail.
