Analysis of theψptotal cross section

Abstract

It is pointed out that the assumption that the $\psi$ is composed of charmed quarks, when taken together with the assumption of conventional dynamics of the states produced in $\psi p$ collisions, does not account for the value of the $\psi p$ total cross section.
