A new projective test is described. 36 incomplete drawings, consisting of a few simple lines, are completed by the subject. Men characteristically close off stimulus areas; they tend to enlarge, expand the stimulus; they tend to emphasize sharp or angular lines. Women leave stimulus areas open or elaborate the area within the stimulus itself; they tend to blunt or enclose sharp lines or angles. The test is a measure of degree of acceptance of the individual's sex role, conscious or unconscious. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
