Abstract
This review documents the evolution of the current techniques of Holmium:yttrium‐aluminium‐garnet (Ho:YAG) laser prostatectomy. An increasing number of centres are accumulating experience with this wavelength in the surgical treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. Newer techniques, including prostatic enucleation combined with intracavitary morcellation, are discussed. Keywords
