Abstract

16 compounds of the types cis-[Pt(PPh₃)₂(4-CH₃-C₆H₄)(Ar)] (cis-6a-g) and cis-[Pt(PPh₃)₂(4-CH₃O- C₆H₄)(Ar)] (cis-7a-g) (Ar = Phenyl ring substituted by at least one electron acceptor or donator substituent) have been synthesized and studied with respect to the thermal reductive elimination of the biphenyl system.
