Abstract
Daniels P. W. (1981) Transport changes generated by decentralized offices: a second survey, Reg. Studies 15, 507–520. An earlier study of the journey to work to decentralized offices was replicated at the same establishments in 1976. Despite difficulties in comparing two sets of essentially cross-sectional data, the results suggest that replacement staff and new recruits since 1969 have not changed to any significant degree the structure of mode choice for the journey to work anticipated from the earlier findings. Private transport continues to dominate the travel mode changes generated by decentralized offices and although aggregate level use of public transport has continued to fall there have been marginal improvements in the level of utilization particularly in the GLA.Keywords
