Thermodynamic study of magnetically ordered solid 3He

Abstract
The data of Kummer, Mueller and Adams on 3He melting pressures in applied fields are analysed to provide information on the susceptibility. Above the ordering temperature the susceptibility is greater than the Curie-Weiss value by more than a factor of two. For low fields, a decrease in susceptibility by about a factor of 3 occurs in the ordered phase. However, at high fields, B ≥ 0.42 T, the susceptibility increases abruptly on ordering, indicating the possibility of a second-order transition
