The Structure of the Atmospheres of the Major Planets

Abstract

We review the current knowledge of the atmospheric structures of the major planets emphasizing the limits of completeness and present weaknesses. In addition, we recommend specific planetary observations and laboratory investigations for significantly improving the state of this knowledge.
