A new salamander from the upper Miocene beds of San Jacinto County, Texas

Abstract
A Miocene amphibian skull was recently collected near Cold Spring, San Jacinto Co. The skull elements are described, and the specimen is described as BATRACHOSAUROIDES dissimulans (Caudata, incertae sedis). The systematic position of the specimen is not clear, but the Tertiary record of the amphibia is so scanty that this is to be expected.
