Abstract
Expts. chiefly involving treatment of the leopard frog, Rana pipiens, indicated that a qualitative sp. variation exists in gonadotrophic hormones. This variation may be great enough between widely separated donor and recipient sp. to lead to an apparent ineffectiveness of the hormone. The literature dealing with the treatment of the various verte-brate classes with extra-specific materials is reviewed and an extensive bibliography included. This publication has 19 references indexed in Scilit:
