Abstract
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to describe an initial seed of anti‐climate change management (ACCM) in business practices and theory generation.Design/methodology/approach – An approach of ACCM is coined and a framework is outlined.Findings – Two interconnected levels of ACCM may be distinguished.Research limitations/implications – A recent UN‐report indicates the timing is ripe to link the global and business levels together on the agendas of practitioners and scholars.Practical implications – ACCM suggests a major twist in business practices and theory generation from being only business‐oriented, and in part environment‐oriented, to being planet‐oriented as well.Originality/value – ACCM assists in repositioning and expanding the boundaries of current chain management approaches considered in business practices and theory generation.
