Abstract
A Monte Carlo simulation has been used for the determination of the gap correction to be applied to the calorimetric measurement of absorbed dose in graphite in a 60Co beam. The results show that this correction, which has been neglected so far by most national standards laboratories, is not negligible and depends on many parameters. A comparison with the available experimental data shows a general good agreement. Keywords
