Abstract
Summary The efficacy of stibophen (Fusdin®) for killing mature Schistosoma mansoni was compared in mice on a standard commercial ration and in others on semi-synthetic diets. In several tests in which mice received intraperitoneally a dose of 100 mg/kg daily for 8 days, it was estimated that the drug was from 4 to 16 times more effective in eliminating the schistosomes in the animals on the semi-synthetic diets than in those on the crude commercial ration. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
