Abstract
Liquoid (Hoffman - La Roche) in a final concn. of 0.05% was used in blood cultures. Of a total of 170 positive cultures 157 were obtained with the liquoid technique. Using a boiled blood-broth medium 152 were positive. In the liquoid method the patient''s own blood serves as a culture medium and the supernatant plasma is satisfactory for carrying out agglutination tests. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
