Abstract
Vit. B1 and yeast enable hyperthyroid rats which have lost wt. to regain it while still receiving thyroid. Stimulated food intake is an important factor in producing this gain in wt., but in addition a rich source of the vit. B2 complex must be added to the diet. Hyperthyroid rats treated with vit. B1 and yeast maintain a normal estrous cycle, av. 6.5 days; that of normal rats is not influenced by the daily inj. of 500 7 of vit. B1 for 44 days. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
