Abstract
In white rats fed adequate basal diets plus excess doses of vit. A., hypoprothrombinemia was produced within 10 days by 17,600 units of vit. A/day; 8000 to 9000 units had no effect; 35,000-40,000 units caused cerebral hemorrhage. The hypoprothrombinemia but not the other toxic symptoms could be prevented by simultaneous daily adm. of 25 [mu]g. of vit. K.This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
