Multiple Scattering in a Non-Homogeneous, Rayliegh Atmosphere

Abstract

Numerical computations related to the problem of diffuse reflection and transmission of the solar ultraviolet radiation by the earth's atmosphere in the presence of ozone have been carried out to include all orders of scattering. A part of the computations is presented to show the strong and variable effect of multiple scattering on umkehr observations.
