Adjuvant Therapy of Testis Cancer: The Role of Vinblastine and Bleomycin

Abstract

Patients (37) with testis cancer who received adjuvant chemotherapy with vinblastine and bleomycin were studied. These patients included 5 with stage III disease who were down-staged by a surgical procedure and 32 with stage II disease. Of the 32 patients, 26 had stage IIB tumors showing gross nodal disease. There have been 4 deaths, 2 of disease and 2 as a result of therapy. The remaining patients are free of disease. The estimated 5 yr survival is 85%.
