Simultaneous Determination of Biogenic and Non-Biogenic Amines by Gas Liquid Chromatography

Abstract

The separation of nanomolar quantities of amines by derivatization of the amine and aliphatic hydroxyl groups with trifluoroacetic anhydride and the phenolic hydroxyls with N,O-bis (trimethylsilyl) trifluoroacetamide, on a polyamide A103 column has been achieved. (Some of the problems involved are discussed.)
